One thing we hear a lot: it’s hard to know what’s actually happening around Sherrills Ford, Terrell, Monbo, and Long Island until it’s already past. Facebook groups move fast, flyers come down, and county and church calendars all live in different places. So we built a page that pulls it into one spot.
What it is
The new Upcoming Events page is a running list of real local events. Every entry gets confirmed straight from the source, the organizer’s own website, a government page, a church or school site, before it goes on the page. If we can’t confirm the date, time, and location directly from the people putting it on, it doesn’t go up. Nothing guessed, nothing pulled from a listing site that might be out of date.
It also stays current on its own. New events get added as they’re confirmed, and past ones drop off automatically, so it’s always worth a look rather than something that goes stale after one post.
What’s on it right now
Right now that includes the 42nd Annual Harvest Folk Festival at Murray’s Mill (September 26-27), plus whatever else has been confirmed by the time you check. Bookmark it, or just check back whenever you’re wondering what’s going on.
Help us keep it full
This only works with everyone’s help. If you know of a festival, a farmers market date, a church event, a school event, or anything else happening around the area, send it our way through the Contact Us page. We’ll confirm it with the organizer and get it added.
