Tuesday morning, neighbors. Fill the mug, this one’s a quick read.

Quick reminder before the week slips by: the senior fall craft at the Sherrills Ford-Terrell Branch Library is tomorrow, Wednesday, from 2 to 3:30 PM (register at 828-328-2269), and the county commissioners candidate forum is Thursday at 6 PM at the Main Library in Newton. Details are on our Upcoming Events page.

Did You Know

Our side of the lake has three marinas, and all three are in Sherrills Ford: Lake Norman Marina on NC-150, Boat Rack Marina on Spinnaker Bay Drive, and Mountain Creek Marina on Walker Road. Lake Norman Marina also has an ADA-compliant public ramp at 7050 Worth Street, so it’s useful even if you don’t keep a boat there. The full list, including the free Long Island Access Area ramp, is on our Local Spots page.
