Happy Friday, neighbors. Coffee’s hot, and today’s cup comes with a splash of something local.

Did You Know

You don’t have to go far for farm-fresh dairy. Our Support Local: Farms & Makers page lists two dairies down in the Vale and Lincolnton area: Riverbend Creamery, which makes A2 Jersey dairy products and runs a farm stand Tuesday through Sunday, and Blue Goat Dairy, known for goat cheese, chevre, and jarred spreads. If you like knowing which farm your milk and cheese came from, that’s a good weekend drive.

One more for the weekend: the Harvest Folk Festival at Murray’s Mill kicks off tomorrow. Details are on our Upcoming Events page.

That’s the cup. Been to either dairy, or know a farm or maker we’re missing? Tell us. This list only gets better when the people who live here fill in the gaps.
