Registration closes today, Friday, October 9. Early voting starts Thursday, October 15, at the Sherrills Ford-Terrell Library. Dates, ID basics, and where to check your registration are in our voting guide.
If you own property here, write down November 2. Catawba County commissioners set a public hearing for that date on the 2027 property revaluation rules. They also approved funds tied to the Sherrills Ford EMS Base purchase. The full rundown is in our commissioners meeting recap.

Our County Services: Who to Call page has a section on natural gas and propane, and it’s honest about a gap. We couldn’t confirm whether piped natural gas reaches Sherrills Ford or Terrell. Propane appears to be the practical default for most homes here, but we’d rather say we don’t know than guess.
