Early voting opens today at 8 am, and you can vote at any of the five county sites, including the Sherrills Ford-Terrell Library.
Thursday morning, neighbors. Grab a cup, here’s the short version.
What’s New
The library site is at 9154 Sherrills Ford Road in Terrell. Weekday hours are 8 am to 7:30 pm, and you’ll need photo ID. Dates, hours and the other four sites are in our voting guide.
Also at the library, our Upcoming Events page lists Preschool Storytime today at 10 am. Tomorrow brings Tiny to Two Storytime at 10 am and all-levels yoga at Mountain Creek Park at 11 am.
Did You Know
There’s no hospital in Sherrills Ford or Terrell, so ambulance service matters. Per our County Services: Who to Call page, Catawba County EMS handles ambulance and paramedic response countywide, dispatched through 911. County commissioners also approved a small transfer this month tied to the purchase of the Sherrills Ford EMS Base. The county’s recap didn’t say more, so we don’t know yet what it means for service. Our meeting write-up has what was shared.
Heard something about the EMS base, or see a number on our County Services page that’s out of date? Tell us. This only works with everyone’s help.
