A mystery book club meets tonight at the Sherrills Ford-Terrell Library, and you don’t have to have read the book.
Tuesday morning, neighbors. Grab a cup, here’s the short version.
What’s New
The Mystery Mavens Book Club meets tonight at 6:30 pm at the Sherrills Ford-Terrell Branch Library. It’s open to the public, and this month’s pick is The House in the Pines by Ana Reyes. Details are on our Upcoming Events page, along with the week’s storytimes and Friday’s yoga at Mountain Creek Park.
One more date to circle: early voting starts this Thursday, October 15, at the same library. Dates and ID basics are in our voting guide.
Did You Know
Two farms on our Support Local: Farms & Makers page run CSAs, where you sign up ahead and get a regular share of what the farm is producing. The Farmer’s Daughter in Taylorsville lists an 18-week CSA along with a farm market and deli. Steele’s Town Creek Farm in Newton lists a monthly CSA alongside pastured pork and poultry and grass-fed beef. Both are a drive from here, so check each farm’s own site for current sign-up details before you go.
Know a CSA or farm stand closer to home that we’re missing? Tell us. This list gets better because the people who live here add to it.
