We just put up a new page, Support Local: Farms & Makers, a working list of farms, farm stands, and makers around Sherrills Ford, Terrell, Monbo, Long Island, and the surrounding countryside who sell directly to the public.
Here’s the honest part: we built that list from public sources and web research, not from walking every farm stand ourselves. So it’s a starting point, not a finished answer, and we’d rather admit that up front than pretend we nailed it on the first try.
This only works if the people who actually live here help us get it right. So a few real questions:
- Is there a farm, stand, or maker near you that’s still selling to the public that we don’t have listed?
- Did we list someone who’s actually closed, moved, or stopped selling direct?
- Did we get an address, hours, or what they sell wrong?

This whole project only turns into something useful with everyone’s help. A list built by us alone is just a list. A list corrected and filled in by the people who actually shop at these places is something people can trust.
