Today is the first day of the 2026-2027 school year for Catawba County Schools. That means buses are back on the road across Sherrills Ford, Terrell, Monbo, and Long Island, so budget a few extra minutes for your morning commute, especially near schools and bus stops.
Welcome back to the students, teachers, and staff starting a new year today. Drive careful out there.
