Tonight the Sherrills Ford-Terrell Library is throwing a party for the release of Practical Magic 2. “A Little Magic” runs from 6 pm with hands-on soap making and mocktail “midnight margaritas.” Space is limited, so call the branch at 828-466-6827 to register.
Also worth knowing: Catawba County Public Health is asking anyone who visited a mobile petting zoo in nearby Burke County on August 9 to get in touch. Several goats from that event have since tested positive for rabies.
